The shameful Avocado suite being replaced for new shiny white 🙂
Â
Â
First job is to get rid of the 30 year old tiles. 14 bags for tiles (life) needed
Â
The walls have now been made good and a new radiator is ready to fit.
Radiator fitted and all walls made good enough to paint where needed. Decided on a longer lower radiator so as to allow towel rails above. The towel rail radiators are gernerally tall and thin so not an option. Anyway it works and only one small leak to fix. The 20yr old blow torch still worked so it was satisfying to solder the joints.
The bathroom is now much warmer so im wondering about replacing more radiators…
The tiles have been chosen and bought leaving just the flooring. Having previously used Vinyl flooring and actually been impressed with its strength, look and warm feel i would be happy to stay with it. But the tile man suggested Karndean
Â
It’s supplied in planks of 36″ x 4″ 3mm thick (Â Nice mix of measurements there) and simply stuck down on to a plywood base. It’s is very realistic and hardwearing.
The new bath is in. Just need the tiles doing now…
Â
Â
The walls and floor are now finished. Just skirting boards to add then the rest of the suite.
Almost done now. Skirting done and everythiong plumbed in. Just the electric shower to connect.
Â
The shower and screen are in place and once connected the sealant needs to be finished and then all is ready!
Aren’t you a clever old thing? I have 4 toilets that need installing…. 😉
